    Shovelhead rear wheel off center

My rear wheel is sitting about half an inch toward the drive side. This doesn't seem right to me but from what know everything on the swing arm is stock and it looks like there is absolutely no space to go to the brake side, between the caliper mount and the rotor hardware there is almost no room at all. So is this normal or am I just missing something?

is your chain alignment straight or does the chain run off ?

If its a spoked wheel you can loosen one side of the spokes and than tighten up the other side to pull the wheel over the direction it needs to go

Looks like you need a sprocket with less offset.

I could be wrong but I don't think his sprocket is offset. Also don't look like spoked wheels. Cant really see the rest of the wheel or bike but I'm wondering if that wheel isn't stock.

            So question...

Is the wheel offset 1/2" to the drive side, meaning the wheel is no longer centered in the bike or do you mean that just the chainline/sprocket is 1/2" out of alignment?

Its a mag wheel, its running an offset sprocket and the wheel is off center to the frame and chain alignment seems good.

My stock ('77) wheel is set to the left-side based on the fender. I put a 13 spoke mag on the ass-end and it looks offset to the left also. Chain lines up with the tranny and caliper lines up with the rotor. Just the way it is.

mine was the same way. sat a little to the right and was extremely apparent when i dropped it in the rear. The front and rear tire were perfectly inline, however. I shimmed out the fender strut on that side.
