you are. you just need some guidance and the proper riding attire. look for pics of what's in fashion, maybe get a clothes mentor and use the search function here.

Do you know what the model # of those gloves is? I can't find any deerskin gloves with the reinforced palms on them.

Here is my take. Got the Wells Lamont gloves from Walmart, removed the elastic band, folded the cuff and sewed using the elastic band sew holes as a template (not so pretty on the other side since there was no guide). Mink oiled them and have been wearing them in around the house and driving/riding. I am going to put some grommets through the back of each glove so I can clip them onto my jacket or jeans belt loop so I don't have to stuff them in my pockets.

Awesome write up. I couldn't find a pair of brown gloves in my size so I bought white ones and some leather dye and waxed thread from michael's. First time ever stitching anything but it came out pretty good I think, I didn't realize how much the mink oil would darken them so they are a little darker than I was hoping but I'm still happy with the result.

Wow that's a lot darker than my brown ones got. That was all mink oil, did it have any kind of pigment in it?

I used some brown leather dye before the mink oil which actually darkened them quite a bit on its own.

Tried my hand at making some of these tonight, took a slightly different route with the seam, but holy shit this was so fucking easy and so fucking awesome!

Made myself some gloves. Got a $10 pair of Stanley deerskin work gloves. Cut about an inch or so off the bottom, stitched the seam with hemp rope and then oiled with kiwi conditioning oil. Stitching leather with such a thick material was a pain in the ass, took like an hour for each glove. Turned out pretty good, very comfortable gloves.
