XS650 Racer
been a while since ive been here, but want to share my XS Build
busy with making frames for XS and Sporty's, its the first almost ready, to give you an idea what ive been doing lately
racer is not finished yet, so more to come
last picture is from the RMC choppershow in holland last weekend, its not finished,
engine dos not run yet, and the wooden tank is just for mockup, first thing to do is to make an aluminium gastank, and work on the camshaft for my timing, more to come in a few weeksLast edited by Kruisje; 04-24-2014 at 11:26 PM.

i have seen and heard of people flipping the intake and exhausts around. how is it done? do you just flip the heads backwards and run the cam 180' off? i would like to go this way with one of my xs builds

Awesome.
Seen a ton of Triumphs with the flipped head, but never a xs650. So cool.

halfway the page is some information, its not really easy.

i need to make other rockers, dont want to weld them like he did,
maybe a setup from double lasercut shereplates, with a camroller.

I was searching the dark depths of the internet not long ago and found some information from some old time chopper guys about flipping the flow of the head backwards. Lemme see if I can find it again. The lines on that bike are sick tho.

odd. i thought you could just 180 the cam and spin the head and it would work. does the rocker run on a cam lobe that would normally be for a different valve then?

my polyester gastanks are almost finished, only the right one will take fuel, the left one is for the ignition and other electra.
first time i worked with polyester, and it will be the last time i think so, i rather work with metal
when there's more time i will make them from aluminium, and polish themLast edited by Kruisje; 05-21-2014 at 4:08 AM.
