39 & 35 mm Fork Tube Thread size and pitch!

Hey C/C,

I'm looking for some measurements of 39mm fork tube caps. I want to turn some extensions on my lathe.

Just looking for the size and pitch of fork caps, like matching a bolt!

Unfortunately, I don't have any on hand.

If I remember right the pitch is 20. Call up Frank from forks by frank or what ever. Ask him he km nows. I was gonna do the same this g last year but decided its much bettet to just buy longer fork tubes. Any extensions over 3 inches won't be very safe man.

I have a couple buddies that run 4 over plugs and they seem pretty stable. I know what you're saying though... at least the aluminum is going to be solid.

I suppose if you keep the end of the thread above the top, of the bottom tree you'll be ok. I wouldn't go any lower than that.


I went 8 over on my tubes so slugs were out of the question for me.
