    '08 Short Chop

Oi! Three steps forward, four back.

Turned my back when the bike was on the stand to grab a socket and sure enough it fell hard on its side. I didn't have the pegs on, so I bent my shifter shaft. Replaced it thinking I found all the damage only to find the bars bent good. Damn!

Decided to tear the frontend down and do the springer. Glad I did. I like it this way. It's a Paughco with ThreeTwo Choppers wishbone front legs. I had to shorten both the front/rear legs, make risers for the drag bars, caliper mount, upgrade brakes ect, ect and then powder it all. Seems like it took forever between work trips. To top it off, I dropped the headlight this morning shattering the lens. Sheesh!

Anyway, here are a couple pics:

    Before it fell:

The ass end dimensions are spot on. Not too long, not too short. Can't say I personally am feeling the front end but that's just me. I don't like chunky Sportsters.. like chunky women.. not Sportsters. Saw it on the other board too. Your detail and fab skills are impressive. Great job. You a helicopter technician?

Looks great. Don't paint the tins. Leave them bare metal.

Shitface: I was a heli mechanic. Seems a lifetime ago. Good years with no regrets though.

Thanks Dave/wnrn. Tins are staying raw until/unless I decide on a paint scheme. I like it raw right now.

I think it looks perfect. Fatter the better. Mines at a similar point however my fenders dented up so I cant handle leaving it bare metal. Too many choices of paint colors to choose from. Keep up the good work

This scooter has outstanding lines. Good choice of wheels and tire profile. This is one tight Sporty, man...

Thanks man. I wish it was on the road. Work keeps getting in the way!

More today. Trying stuff out to see what I want. Pipes are a PiA! Spent most of the day screwing around with them.
