Had a talk with Red-beard about how he wanted to build back his motor....
Got a game plan in the works....

Here's how it's going to go back together...
T&O 4-1/2 Wheels...
Big Foot sprocket shaft, Heavy Duty Rods and pistons, all from S&S Cycle....
Leineweber L-5 cams....
KPW XLR valves, springs and guides...
Jims lifters & blocks....
Billit oil pump....

That should get it back on the road in grand style.....

This is what I have in mind of doing for a cable stay.....



A bit more dressing down the spacer to match the carb/manifold flanges, will weld on the cable stay and throw down a polish....

Boy do I hate to go sawing on a brand new part from S&S.... In a effort to shorten up the carb... Going to take about an inch off the air horn and mount up the S&S mushroom Bird defector closer to the carb.... Wanted the shorter air horn that is/was being made by another aftermarket manufacture, but wasn't in the cards being the machinist making them is doing time for making up gun parts for converting guns to fully automatic..... http://youtu.be/QblkQ-J6zio

Got the spacer pretty much done.

Trying to get an idea about doing the Air stack/Mushroom cover....
Not sure what to do there...yet ..???

Seems to work really well and made for a neat installation...
No springs or cable at the front of the carb...

Wonder if the owner would know the diff. if I crated up my 52 Pan/Shovel motor and sent it to him .... ...instead of the Knuck. ???

The looks of the Knuck motor in my frame would be tits..... But, I'm sure I would be missing those 90 cubes.

Curing a pushrod oil leak....

This motor is a oddball being it's running Twin Cam heads on a Single Cam lower end...

The problem is that the Twin Cam pushrods sit at a diff angle...
When the heads are bolted down on the Single Cam motor, doesn't allow the pushrods to seat very well cause of that diff. in the angles...

The tool in the above photo cuts a new seat that corrects the angle...


The photo show dye on the shoulder cut where the seal will seat on...



Will spin the cutter until all the dye is gone...

This photo shows how much of a mi-alinement the cut is taking...



Below photo is the done and over cut showing a full 360 degree cut has been accomplished.
