    Torn up some stuff....

The jugs took a whooping, both rods are toast along with the crank-pin, bearings.... Lifters, tappet blocks, oil pump got ate up. Cam gears got chunks of piston mash down in the teeth....
Still hard to believe that the cases didn't throw in the trowel when all that went down...

Bob weight has been made to the 1239.9 and time to see where the wheels will go with adding or taking weight...

Some of ya may be wondering why the chart needed new numbers after doing the match of the resip. weights..???

The reason for that is the 23 grams that now are not there anymore from the first chart...

The total weight of the rear rod had changed and the recip. weight on that rod...
That needed to be factor in..
Also the total weight of the pistons are not the same as the first chart showed... Some of that 23 grams came off the rear piston to attain the same weight as the front piston/rod combo...

That 23 grams will affect the Bob-weight as the formula is recalculated....

I never even thought about that when twincam heads were used on an evo bottom the pushrod angles were different. That is why I like this thread. When it comes time for my evo rebuild (hopefully in years) I am riding the two hours out to you

Just like any other good thing in life, a corporate buyout means the owner leaves.....managers are hired, and all that matters is profit for the stockholders. It just turned to shit. I was done there before being kicked out. Same thing that keeps me out of big businesses, and all my buying from mom and pop stores is a top priority. Its worth it dealing with a real owner that has money invested, and a dream to pursue....not some manager that hates his job...customers.....life.

    Sorta......

Made up from solid round stock and a C-clamp.... They work, but does require more messing with to get set up than that one for the Big Twins...

    The second one....
Goodson Alum. Mag cap with the rib is playing tag....

    Third one...
Rocker Box Stock Hex bolt won't let the Mag set down on it's mount....
A button head should be the cure...

The cure for the first one is going to be a job to make work...
My thoughts is either cut about 5/8 of a inch out of the middle of the bowl and weld back together...
Or notch out the area that is hitting the Mag and fill in with weld...

Both of these cures will make the float history... But the front bowl will still function...
I'm leaning toward doing the notch out being both bowls will remain the same length..

The Mag cap is a simple cure... A little grind time and a bit of polishing will have it looking like the front side of the cap...

    Thank you!!!!

Yes I really like it here much better.... No egos here telling people what they can and can't do.... I guess when you can't do anything yourself like building or fabing bikes. The best you can do is push people around!!!!!!! I really feel sorry for the mod squad!!!!!!

Jesse I guess I'm the bad so who is the ugly and the good????? LOL

Welcome aboard. This is a fun site and we look forward to seeing you guys much more. I am a dual site person from the jj but that place doesn't have a whole lot to offer me anymore. It used to be great for parts but now cc has taken over. Now back to our regularly scheduled jesse building motors
