Brake lever and torsion spring 71 Ironhead

    Hey All,

I'm currently rebuilding my 71 Ironhead and I've put it in a non-stock frame. Doing this mounts the case to far foward for the left-side break torsion spring to rest against it (as it should be on the stock bike). Right, now it just sits there with nothing to leverage against. I'm looking for ideas on how I might fix this problem. Right now, I'm way to close to the problem and I can seem to think of solutions. Here are a few pics to get the idea what I'm talking about and what I have to work with.

    Thanks for your input.

Just get a piece of steel and weld it vertical to the bottom part of the frame for the spring to push against and call it done.... ?? Def not going to be a bolt-on solution.
