    Sportster evo switch relocation

I am relocating all the switches from my 1996 sportster. I have relocated them to a toggle for the turn signals a 3 way toggle. The problem I am having is that I switch the signals on either way and when I switch them off they stay on till I switch them on again. I know the originals are push to cancel. Am I missing something or do I need to just use to separate switches for them? Sorry first time I have done anything like this any help I would be grateful for thanks.

Sounds like you might have wired the switch incorrectly, by wiring the light to the center post somehow? Center post should be power from your fuse box and flasher. Each side post should be going to the individual lights. Then each light is grounded. So Fuse --> Flasher --> Center Post on switch. Then Side post on switch --> light --> ground.

You need to switch from the stock turn signal canceller to a flasher. They are cheap and readily available at auto parts stores.
