I don't know if attaching a link to Lincoln's website falls into Chop cult protocol or not. If it does, my apologies. Anyway, Lincoln electric has a free welding parameters app for your smartphone or tablet. It's pretty cool as long as you are using Lincoln products. Anyway, if it helps some of the newer welders, it might be a pretty good idea.

I havent looked at this yet. I have an oldschool cardboard slider thing from miller I use alot to get me close when setting up stick machines since I dont stick alot and always forget what to use with what rods. But its got gtaw and gmaw settings as well. I will have to check out the phone app tho its always nice to have a little refresher when using a process that hasent been practiced in a while.

miller also has one, its a handy reference to have on your phone.

I use the Miller one also. Im new to TIG welding so it comes in handy for me. Select the type of metal and type of weld and it tells you what size tungsten, cup, filler, etc to use.
