    Default My XS Build

I bought a XS650 last December wanting to start a custom bobber project. I picked up the bike pretty cheap here in south Texas jumping into it blind the ugly ass bike didnt run but still had good compression so I knew it was on. The guy I bought the bike off of tried to up the price cause he had a "fresh" rattle can paint job and "custom" plywood seat none of that really gave me a wow factor of coarse. Im pushing a year into the build now and i just got the beast fired up for the first time so you can imagine how stoked I am to finish this bike properly named "Quazimoto". Here are some pictures if the progress so far.

Man i have an idea of what i want but i dont know if im going to be able to make em myself. I found a guy on Instagram that would make some for me how i want them but even then im not sure if i want any more than a 4" rise. Down here in south Texas it gets pretty windy and rollin with apes is kinda tough. I found a set of lane splitters here on the classifieds that are pretty sweet so idk man either short in curvy or short and semi drag bar semi lane splitter style.

How did you like the Ardtail and was it as easy to install as they claim? I'm going to be ordering a tail in the next month or 2 to get rolling on my xs once we move into the new house and that one is deffinetly on the radar.

Man I really like my choice on getting the Ardcore Ardtail it was easy and is the safest tail u can get. It uses the engine as a jig and it also holds everything together as u tack it up. A great buy for sure customer service was dope I felt with Jon Ard personally real nice guy and helped me out with any questions I had

    Default Time for teardown

License plate/tail light bracket made and lookin good. I got the XS engine out ready for a good cleaning and final polish while the frame and rims are off getting powder coated. The rear break linkage is spring loaded now ready to roll. I welded the gussets in and smoothed everything out too.
