Have 39mm narrow glide forks changed Internally since 03 and now?

I scored some older 39mm sportster narrow glides for cheap and was going to rape some parts off em but before I dig in I want to know if its all the same shit from 03-2011. I have 25mm lowers with a wheel spacers and axle that Are off my fucked up forks. Can I just swap my 25mm lowers onto the older fork tubes with no probs. or did they change up the internal set up since 03? I'm assuming its all the same shit but dont want to tear down two forks to find out that its not gonna work. I will if I gatta but is rather not.
