    Default Drum roll please!

The Greasy Dozen 2014 Winners Announcement

Please take a moment to read all of this, since even if your name is not in the first 12 you still have a chance to be part of the movement.

Selection for the 12 "Official" Greasy Dozen builders is never easy and we were calling it the great Greasy Debate around here for the last week. Once again there were so many deserving candidates... Here are the 12 lucky builders that have won all kinds of swag, free parts, magazines, and support!

    Chopper

    1. poonslammer 1981 CB900
    2. JW 1978 XLCH 1000
    3. preacherman
    4. Bmillz 1951 Pan

    Cafe Racer

    5. Rich68 1968 CL350
    6. Greasercustoms 2006 Sportster
    7. crush1776 "Little Wing" BSA
    8. Farnie 1983 Kawasaki GPZ

    Bobber

    9. puzpounda
    10. Krypto
    11. BnC
    12. 70schop

If you're one of the "OFFICIAL" GREASY DOZEN BUILDERS listed above you need to email bearhaughton@oldbikebarn.com with your full name, address, and a contact number. I will respond and we'll book a time for you're builders briefing. I will personally fill each of you in on how this will work.

THE SWEET SPOT! THERE ARE 112 ASSOCIATED BUILDER SPOTS THIS YEAR!

We need soldiers to promote BUILT NOT BOUGHT MOTORCYCLE CULURE so this year I'm once again ready to put my money where my mouth with the ASSOCIATED BUILDERS Program. Its all about working together and to help grow the grassroots scene and promote the kind of traditional bikes and biker values we believe in. SAY NO TO TRIBAL SKULLS AND BILLET DODADS!

So whats the catch to be an ASSOCIATED BUILDER and get heavily subsidized parts and some freebies? Its easy you have to commit to posting the progress of your build here on this thread and on social along with the 12 official bikes.

By signing up to be an ASSOCIATED BUILDER you accept a mission of being a foot solider in a movement to promote grassroots builder culture and traditional biker values, like brotherhood and respect, while encouraging others to pick up a torch and build a bike! We need to get the word out, If you don't know something don't pretend to, If you have knowledge, be a brother and share it. Looking down our noses at the uninitiated keeps them that way and will not help grow anything. Show and give respect, teach people... but most importantly have fun, spin wrenches, ride motorcycles and tell people about it both in person and through social media.

All you have to do is send email to bearhaughton@oldbikebarn.com with "ASSOCIATED BUILER" in the subject line and I will reply with instructions on how to sign up to be part of the team and provide details about what kind of support you will receive.

Thank you to everyone for being part of the Greasy Dozen Builder Collective, and supporting Built Not Bought Motorcycle Culture!

    Peace & Grease

    -Bear

    Default Greasy Dozen 2014 Entry

Here's my entry for the Greasy Dozen 2014! We (me and you guys) are going to build a bad-ass bobber out of this 1965 Honda CB450 aka The Black Bomber.

The engine seized and I have a dream of rebuilding it and getting her back on the road. Why not just buy a new motor and get on with it? The engine and frame numbers match and 'cause I said so!

I would like to stick with a bare-bones, clean look. I would change out the bars, seat, tires, and exhaust and add a paint job. I also need a kick stand and a rear fender. Details...

I think that with my vision and your parts and help, we could have ourselves a bitchin' bike. BUT I can't do it alone on my single-mom-with-two-kids budget. What do you say? Do we have a deal?

OMG, heart breaker, haha. Missed it by 2 minutes! Hahaha...

Nah actually the deadline was weeks ago, I believe, to enter. Some people didn't read the rules.

I hope you're one of the guys that joins us as an "Associated Builder" I'd like to see the progress on how that Virago turns out, they are not an easy starting point but as the photo you posted show they can be pretty impressive done right.

I'm in my friend. And its a v-star

My daughter says to tell you though that shes thankful we had a chance for the top twelve even if you put a "bobber" in the "chopper" top 4

I want to be a part of it either way, you've got a killer thing going here.
