      i actually heard they were the biggest let down harley ever had, dyno numbers were all hype and worse than the 883. And that they designed suspension to be robbed on the cheap for fxr's.

          Not true. I can't quote reliable numbers off the top of my head, but I've ridden and worked on several 1200S models over the years and they are definitely the fastest stock sportsters. A stock 883 isn't even in the same league.

          Plus, with the dual disc brakes up front, and once you get the suspension tuned in a bit, they handle very well.

                Thats straight up silly. Ride one then decide. I had a buell right before I got mine and stock seat of the pants dyno on my S feels not too far off. With a high flow air filter and 2-1 exhaust, jetted, it will be a beast. Id put mine up against any stock harley.
