I like it long like that too but I think if it were me I'd cut it flush with the lower frame rails to keep the look without the risk.

Yeah, it will be cut at the lower frame rails for sure. I was more talking about making it a little narrower so it doesn't cover so much of the sidewall. i really just need to decide if I want to find a different fender or run this one first, so I can move forward on some other stuff.

That first fender you had on there, was it the cb front fender?

Yeah, it was the front. It's pretty damn flimsy so it's not really something I wanted to use but I do like the way it looks.

Looks to fit the tire pretty good from what I can tell, the side wall hang over looks good in my opinion.

This is not dead! Got the rear motor mounts made and in. Put a new chain on so I can position the fender and start working on the seat and sissy bar.

Looking real good man. But as mentioned, I really dig the Yama tank. Those "sportster" ones has been done in all possible ways. (Oh my - even I sport a frisco "sportster" tank.) But that's just me. I still dig the heck outta this.

I'm using the king sportster tank mainly for capacity. If I were just wanting to cruise around town, I'd run something else. But, it gets me the capacity I want and doesn't look horrible so I'll run it for now. You can always own more than one tank too!

Got to put in some time on this today. Decided on how I'm gonna make the bars and I made all the parts to mount the fender. Should have the fender done and be starting the seat pan/bars and sissy this week. I might end up building an oil tank for it if I can't find anything that fits. What's a safe capacity for one of these? Also, anyone ever use a large oil filter relocation setup instead of the oil tank?

Threw together a set of bars today. Used some 7/8" cold rolled and some 1" tubing. They should work alright.

Started one of the seat ideas tonight. have never made a seat before so we'll see how it goes. Cut the old brake pedal assembly off the old bike and I think I might try and run it when I figure out the new foot peg situation.

Good job on the hard tail man. $150 bones is a steal & makes me want to hunt down a honda for my next build. Looking forward to some more progress
