    Default SPORTSTER parts question!

    I have a 2002 Sportster XL1200c

Just talked to the dealership about finding a clutch adjustment spring. They said they didn't have it in stock and couldn't order it. I told them that I thought the part was pretty universal for most modern sportsters but he said it wasnt.

Any harley mechanics on here have experience with multiple models of sportsters that could solve this problem?

HD certified tech here, 13 years and counting. Your parts guy, just like those at my closest dealer, dont know jack. All the same in late models. Go to the hardware store and buy a spring, cut to length, stretch it out if necessary. That spring just holds the locknut in place while the clutch cover pushes on it. Where is yours?
