    What did you make today

A lot of battles of the mouths lately. I've been here a short time compared to most and i remember when i found this place it was something i couldn't get enough of. The inspiration was overwhelming. So here is what I'm thinking, a thread where you can show off your small chop triumphs (not the bike). Post a pic of what you made today. Something you took the time to make. It doesn't have to be big or great just something YOU did for your bike. Anything really just to show people that this place is still about people who love working on their bikes. If this thread is useless then I'm sure it will be over looked or deleted but i figure its worth a go.

Yesterday, but I try to do a little something everyday.
Even if it's just a bit of sanding.

Not made today, but to help start the thread because I really like the idea, here is the last thing I made.

Started on a sissy bar and seat today that I'll update in the next day or two when I get them finished.

I laced together a seat, two p-pads, and a back rest that I carved last week. I wrapped the main seat. The others I'll finish tomorrow. I also dropped the chrome off for the Born Free bike. Now this is a GREAT thread. Thanks

I'm pretty new to this scene, so I'm not up to the "make" level yet, but I did break something! Well, not really. My speedometer stopped working, so today I took apart the cable, inspected it, removed the speedometer itself, and tried to figure out what was wrong with it. No idea, but it definitely isn't the cable. In the process of removing the speedo I learned a bit about the wiring of my bike. So that's a win.

When this semester ends I'm going to go completely over the bike and take off everything that doesn't make it go fast or stop, install the airbox eliminator kit I've been sitting on, and chop both fenders. Today I pulled my speedo and made a small step in that direction.

My next mini-goal is to get my sissy bar setup sorted out.

Not that exciting, but baby-steps, man, baby-steps.

I made this jockey shifter and foot clutch for my sportster almost exactly 1 year ago, but I'm still really proud of it, so I'm adding it to this thread. Built on a $10 budget, it works great!
