    building a flat track hot shoe

    Anybody have any pointers or good tricks for building a flat track hot shoe before i get the flame wrench and grinder out?

    There is a how to article in the newest Sideburn magazine, #3, from Australia.. it kind of glances over it, but pretty much what you would figure. Cut heel off your boot, trace around on place steel, cut out sole, form edge around steel sole, form toe cap, weld up... I would like to make one myself

      My dad has told me before that they used to make them out of the end of an old car bumper. Thick steel and already has a nice radius in it. Not exactly high tech...
