First Chopper Build ..... 79' Shovel

whats up guys been peaking around for the past couple months at some builds and thought id post up my 79' superglide shovelhead build and see what you all think.

this is what I started with

instead of buying an expensive lift table I decide to build one out of some 2x4 I had laying around.

    some drunkin brain storming

got a Kraft tech frame and DNA spring front end and a set of z-bars a buddy had laying around.. decided on some sweet Coker Firestone tires

wasn't a huge fan on buying a 150 dollar oil take some I spent 20 bucks on some bungs and turned this:

    into this:

    alittle fish tail action

this is how she is sitting at the moment till I can get some more funds to pay for powder coating

Because it is a mortal sin to chop up a OEM shovelhead frame.

Sure. I just asked because I have an old Kraftech frame that I dont like much. I'd prefer a stock frame over an aftermarket one anyday. I'm going to hell already, so if it's a sin, then I might as well enjoy it more.

I actually had bought a hard tail kit for the bike and when I got it I just noticed that nothing was gunna line up and how big of a pain in the ass it was gunna be. so after trying to get everything to line up as close as I could before cutting anything I finally just got pissed enough and ordered a whole frame.

I'd consider getting your bike hardtailed by Mike @ 47 Fab and selling that frame. Kraftech doesnt really back up their shit and is very unhelpful from what I've heard with customer service. 47 Fabrications can hook up your hardtail and make it looks amazing plus not have to deal with special construction titles. Just my $.02

thanks for the info but since I already have the kraft tech frame im just gunna stick with it. I don't have the funds to send the other one off and everything.

i hear you. well, don't get rid of that stock frame, brother. worse comes to worst, it's just another idea for next winter's build session. mike does great work and, not for nothing, custom frame chops are worth WAY less in the resale market. people love a clear HD title.

                        where are you located?
