Here is my sporty transformation in the past year. Traded one of my AR's for this bike and she is a work in progress. I'm a cheap ass and get most parts on craigslist or facebook marketplace or fab them myself. Spent real money on the pistons, gaskets, and tires though. WHen its all said and done, wnat the old frisco chopper look. Keeping the stock rake with longer forks and good paint.
1)Started as an 883, i bought some wiseco 1200 pistons, and took the jugs to a local machine shop had them bored and honed. 2)Changed tanks (twice). 3) fabbed a foot clutch and jockey shift, 10" risers with drag bar (currently fabbing 12"H bars). 4)added on roadglide air shocks with a 3" rear drop bracket (more comfortable since i do ride this across Texas). 5) Put on long 2" pipes. 6)2 inch tank lift 7)made DIY air cleaner 8) removed speedo, blinkers, tach, and relocated key
Future mods- removing all controls from bars this weekend and moving start switch , and key behind battery box. chop rear fender, shave lowers and add 6 over forks, finish my sissybar and aux fuel tank that bolts to sissybar. Paint tank, rear render, and possibly frame black with red flake designs

Sportster with the XS.
Heritage
Bought the Sportster a few months ago. Already had a haifley bros hardtail kit and oil bag and 6 over forks. I changed the handlebars to prism supply cyclone bars, 21" front wheel and just put on a new Haifley Bros king and queen seat. Still need to do something about that headlight and the tank.
Heritage is stock with a bunch of chrome trim. Bought it a month or two ago so I could cruise in comfort with the old lady. It will probably stay just as stock as it is now.Last edited by wiisass; 10-04-2018, 10:28 AM.Comment

83 shovelhead swingarm I'm finishing up now. Just gotta get it started... Having electrical issues and need to replace the kicker gears. Otherwise it's a wrap.

@TriNortchopz thanks man. I have this nice billet wide glide laying around and some shaved lowers I was curious on how it would sit and ride.Comment
