Hey thanks man! I appreciate it! It's growing on me for sure. Every day I see it I dislike it less and less lol. It'll be staying until I decide to do an actual paint job on the tank. For now I need to focus on other parts of the bike. Like chopping that huge stock rear fender.

Get on the internet and search google images for Japanese Sportsters and also check out shops like Crazy Orange not just the obvious ones - in my mind the best sporties in the world are being done in the land of the rising sun
Pay particularly attention to the seats pipe tires and bars with tank type/size/location being critical - for some reason they are nailing it here and you are already more than 50% there
Their bikes look fast sitting still - something that's hard to achieve - big hint here is less is more but they generally all have good paint
Here's one that speaks to me
Good luck with it and start a build thread in the sportster section to encourage othersLast edited by panheadpete; 05-30-2016, 6:23 AM.Comment

Panheadpete, thanks for your reply. I love the japanese bike style, and I have tried to go in that direction with my bike. Looking at the bike in the pic I think maybe the seat and the tires make the big difference. I will probably be getting a set of Shinko e270 tires, not sure if I will go for all black or whitewall.Comment

Other details like small air cleaners - pipes with clean lines or 2-1 go a long way to getting THE look
Im interested to see the front of your bike any chance of a pic or two please? Those shrouds look interesting
Got time to burn? Have a scroll down through here - always a few nice bikes come through
