Project Rapido XS650 - Build Thread

Official build thread for my new project.
Started off as a sketch and decided to make this shit happen!

The foundation of the build will be built around a Harley Rapido tank. The frame used is an xs650 special which will have a single downtube from the neck. The Hardtail will be a David Bird looped 0" stretch and 2" drop. It'll be a stubby little bike.

Definitely following this one! I've always liked the Rapido tanks and actually almost bought an entire bike just to get the tank! This thing should be killer when it's done!

Yup love this tank! Finally scored one in excellent shape

Can't wait for my David Bird tail to arrive! The wait is killing me. Glad I got this other build to keep it off my mind.

Coolness, I'm thinking under for the bars...just because that tank and the triple tree with bars under; reminds me of a yellow jacket's head and thorax.

Waiting on my bird tail to come in. Decided to re-use the mid frame section for the mid controls like the Fong bros bikes.

Those tanks are so cool! I would go as far to say they have more character and style than the overused overdone peanut tank! Oh and the helper is doing a great job!!

Thanks man! I Mocked it up on another bike I'm building and want to pickup another one. Tanks are harder to come by tho.
