My Bike: My (Wife's) Hot Rod Rebel

Been building this little gem for my wife. It was her first bike, and endured a rather rough life, including being a make shift dirtbike quite often.... Thought you guys might enjoy this one, it should be done VERY soon...

    Skinny!

    My Ugly Mug

    This is a little better!

    Headpipes

Owner name, location: Punskalar's Wife, Boone NC

Bike name if it has one: Road Rash

Engine, year and make, model, modifications: 1997 Honda Rebel, Starter Delete with handmade kickstart function...

Frame: Lowered, Shortened, and cut apart

    Fork: Shaved, Polished, Lowered

Chassis mods: Shortened Swingarm, all tubework bent with a torch

Tire/wheel size and style: Laced up and old 16 for the rear, stock 18 on the front

Favorite thing about this bike: Custom Kickstart, Gas Tank

Next modification will be: Finish the damn thing! Soon enough

Other mods, accessories, cool parts, etc: Handmade Aluminum Bars, Rearsets, Fiberglass Seatpan

Any building or riding story or info you'd like to include: This thing has seen more miles than any Rebel has a right to, and she'll ride alongside me anytime....

Nah, what you see is what you get.... The tag will hang off the back of the seat though

Im doing the seat on my cb750 similar to that. Im just worried about the abuse the carbs/electronics will take without some type of protection. Probably overthinking it.

                    Update:

Got the Kickstarter to work! But, here is the side cover I removed the Honda Logo from. I want people to wonder WTF this thing is :smokin:

Deleting the Starter is not 100% done yet, still have some welding to do on the cover, Here you can see the stock cover with the starter boss, and the modded cover with it removed.

In the last pic, you can see the kick shaft sticking out. Had to make the shaft, bushings, and do lots of welding work to the back of the cover to make everything stay in place.

Cut new sprockets for the kick-start. Its at a 1:1.7 ratio now, plenty easy to kick since it is a 250, but enough to spin the motor over as well...:smokin:

Oh yeah, its a left side Kick, and you fold the kick over, and kick it forward... Totally weird and people are gonna wonder what the hell is going on with that lever :smokin:

Had some folks wanting to see the frame work. The seat is actually raised a bit from where the stock rebel seat sits. All the unpainted tubework is new, replaced, changed, etc...

Very nice work, and some fine engineering as well.
