    Baffle remove from 2000 sportster

    Hey all,

Was wondering if there is a procedure for pulling the baffles from a pair of 2000 Sportster mufflers?
Is it as simple as bashing them out or do I have to cut them out?

    The mufflers are these style

    Thanks in advance

You really can't remove them without cutting the muffler apart. Just drill the center out of the baffle or use a sharpened 1/2in. or whatever size steel rod to punch a hole in it.

      Thanks Bro,

Not want I wanted to hear but it Is What it Is. I was hoping it was as easy as this http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=M1qFMC2mIxw.

So just grab a 1/2 piece of rebar and just jam it down?

well it is that easy, that guy just did it, or you can get a large enough hole saw and do the same thing, you cut around the end there and it slides right out. I've done it on a set at the shop

Exactly. Why ask a question you already have the answer to?

While I thought i had my answer, it never hurts to get a second or third set of eyeballs on a problem. Especially when those eyes are allot more experienced than your own.

                Thanks for the help guys.

Never hurts to ask because some of us are totally wrong sometimes.
