Split sportster tank

On the old time fat tanks the oil bag was kind of a shell that covered the part of the fuel tank that stuck through the frame.
Half & half? Maybe on a 2-stroke. Think asymetrical. How fab are you willing to go?

I have a Fatboy tank I did on my sporty & ran the battery fully under the seat.
