CB750 Chopper Project, Carburetor question.

I got a cb750 chop project a couple months back and am finally starting to do some work on it. I really need to find carburetors. It's a 76' SOHC and I have a buddy with some DOHC carbs that I can get for free. In the name of budget I was curious if I could use the carbs from a DOHC on my bike?

Just about any carbs you wanna put on it should be fine; it's just a matter of getting them lined up, synched to work together with no intake leaks. It's good to try and match the bore too; otherwise you have to figure out a manifold.

Hell, if they are free try them; if they don't fit offer them back to him or make em work?
