Personally I wouldn't but you would learn alot doing it. You could also buy a bigger japper 650-750 for the same or less dough and have a bike that has some nuts to get out of the way. But if it were mine it would have studded tires in the winter and be a winter beater for those 3 times it snows 13" down here! Show some of these southern cats how a yank gets along with the snow!

You need to do something to that bike, just not sure yet. I like the idea of keeping it a swing arm, urban assult, dirt track racing tracker bike, some shit like that. What ever ya do it will kick ass.

Something like this attachment.(if it works)

Why not try saving some $ instead of wasting it on cowboy dress up kits. You may be a po boy, but you could at least attempt to make a bike with some nice lines and a little bit of grace.

that wasnt a dress up kit its how i dress....... it better than any of the "bobbed" sportys with struts on here. onces its got a fender and a seat itll look like any other brat styled bike.... i know its not the best but its practise so when i can afford a "real" bike i wont fuck it up.....

actually i think punkskalar is right. from what ive heard, only a limited number of VINs for these bikes were granted street legal status. the rest were for off road use only.

Nothing wrong with chopping a dirt bike, just don't chop a little dirt bike. Now, an old KDX450, that'd be nasty.
