    Old-Stf project : 1964 Panhead Swinger

Starting a new build.. no customer influence or guidelines just as I want it to be.. This won't be rusty it will have lipstick and most these parts will change. Just need measurements and ideas. Thanks for looking. Will also post progress on the blog with different photos www.old-stf.com

YES! Mike and I have been yapping about this build for a year or two and I'm excited to see it in motion! I already love it.

Subscribed! I'm looking for a pan too, it's the best looking motor HD ever made IMHO.

I like your panhead protector, even if she is sleeping on the job!

                    Mike,

I've got a drop-seat frame/drum-brake rear set up like you've got going on in my shed right now (for quite a while actually - hard to find time to work on it). I'm really looking forward to seeing how you handle the details on this build, especially with any non-stock controls, tanks, connectors, mounts, etc.

Your build threads are the best!

                    Post lots of pics!!

I agree. I would love to have a Pan, but just the engines are expensive as hell.

Nope not using the ironhead drum. probably going to use panhead drum. might use the 19" hoop and 18" on back but also want to see what it looks like with a 21 up front. For sure most parts will change through out the build.
thanks guys, posting this shit here keeps me motivated as dose Gabe !! and I get good advise. I can't draw a picture worth a fuck but I've had this bike in my head for a couple years. A challenge for myself.. something to make the previous builds look like cake I hope.

                            headlight cowl

I got this far and already had to order parts. So I skipped to some fun stuff. Narrowing a pan headlight cowl 2 " I didn't spend much time trying for pretty welds cause I plan to smooth them out anyhow. It dose not appear to be much narrower in the photo but it seems really narrow with fork slider covers and a tire between it. 2" was the most I could do and still keep a resemblance of what it once was so I started here and it will dictate the triple trees.
