Default CB750 - Done and Ready to Ride! *Pics and Vid*

All done with the bike for now.....these things are never really "done". But took the bike out for a ride last week and I think I got it runnin all good for now so here are some pictures.

    New headlight! I dig it

Kept the stencil on the tank. Changed the stencil on the fender and put some Mooneyes there

Rugburn: "Do you even know what Mooneyes is?"
    Me: "I dunno....some hotrod shit?"

Finally got me some real oil line....good bye leaky home depot lines

Went with the raw tank and the chinese character "Fu" on the tank....upside down its good luck. I'm gonna need all the luck I can get with this thing.

Made my own 2-1 pipes for each side. I like how they look from far away, but up close....not so much haha

    Ugly Welds

    Here's how it sounds:

OK, I did my part....now it just has to start getting nice outside

Thanks Man. I've always wanted a white wall. Is that a 16" rear on that CB or a stock 17"?

p.s. I'm a big fan of your XS....you all done with that yet?

There is something strangely attractive about this weld. I wish I could do something like that on purpose.... if I tried it would probably come out clean... hmm idea.....

    Nice Job!

looks good minus the welds.... that has to leak. are you using solid core wire without shielding gas? id grind them down or something....

    Thanks Dudes!

I'm using flux core wire...but this is like the 3rd thing i've ever welded so i didn't expect it to come out too pretty haha. It doesn't really leak, and if it does, its not too bad, so i'm not gonna sweat it. And like revmike said, theres something about it's ugliness that is strangely attractive to me

so when the hardtail was installed you just set your ride height and let the rake come out wherever?it sets real nice and i didn't think the neck had been cut so i was wondering.i have a stock 1978 frame and engine and most of a cb750 but planned on building a frame.after seeing yours it made me think maybe just hardtail the stock frame, hmm.

i have to wait until tonight at the house to see the tank pics, thanks for postin tho.

I live by a rule of thumb since i had kids "if my 6 year old can see it, its pretty bad"

she pointed at the monitor when i scrolled across that weld and said "daddy ewwww"

You need to wrap those pipes or ask a buddy to lay some nice welds on those pipes, that is fucking gross.

+1 for having a buddy help fix the welds. Dont just wrap a bad weld job. We are all better than that haha.

I love the bike man. Looks great!
