There several different jet manufacturers and their numbers don't all line up. Google for a jet size comparison chart and you will see what I mean. Also, your factory jets should have been bigger in the back, and smaller in the front. The rear cylinder runs hotter and needs more fuel in the intake charge to keep temps down. You might call the guys at carbjetkits.com and talk to them, they can usually get you dialed in pretty quick on these bikes.

Stage kits are an over priced scam, it's a way to mark up a 3 dollar jet to 30 and sell xeroxed instructions. Did you drill your slides? That's one of their steps...you can find all the information they provide online and buy your own jets and save yourself some bank; they make their own stamped jets to try and prevent people from by passing the scam.

I am sure you'd get the 180 in their stage 2 or 3 for your bike. Save your cash and perform a search on what you are running and carb mods you'll find the answer. I'm sure there is a dedicated VT forum somewhere with exactly what you need on the cheap.

    This, x10000.

Also, in the future try to pepper your posts with some punctuation. I gave up reading it about 1/3rd of the way through.

12.95 each? Are they made out of fucking gold? Those jets should only run about 4 bucks.

    Jets kits are for suckers....

Not trying to sound like a dick, but search man search...if I remembered the bit size off the top of my head for drilling them I'd tell you. I'm happy to help when someone runs into trouble or can't find info after searching, such as the XS650 jet post on here. But dude, I handed you the keys to get there...so drive.
