    Frisco Evo Sporty Build

So this is a pretty good story with this one. One of my best friends bought this bike as a basketcase in a warehouse in Chester, PA (scary, hood place if you have never heard of it). Basically a frame, motor, front end, & title (amazingly) for basically no money. Thing basically was in a corner in pieces from the 90s and was a real mess. So over the course of 3 moves, a marriage, loosing his job 3x in 2 years he finally got this thing together on Sunday and rode it for the first time. What a cool feeling to see a good buddy finally just smile and relax. Most of the work was done @ Diavoli (buddies shop in Downingtown, PA) where he builds choppers, bobbers, and hotrods. Mustafaa from Spray Can Customs wired it up and did some of the work on the safety issues.

    Basic setup:
    Stock '86 evo sporty motor/frame
    Progressive 10" rear shocks
Progressive drop in 2" springs, rebuilt front end with seals, screaming eagle fork oil
21" sportster custom front wheel on an old school metzler tire
16" Midwest 40 spoke Chrome wheel on a hd white wall
    King sporty Tank
T Bars from Bootleg on the Cult (thanks bro!)
    Lepera Seat
Old Kill Kustoms Paint job, textured metal on tops with hand lettered & paint faded diavoli script, black magic pearl vw black on the sides with blue flake and pearl. Real Blood from a cut while grinding all over the rear fender and blue pearl in the clear.

Basically a really cool little bobber. Enjoy the pics gents.

    Start to finish

And one of a friend's pan and my bike for good measure.

I dont know that a Biltwell banana would work , since he isnt running stock fender and it sits lower . There would be a gap at the back.

Yeah the banana wouldn't work although they are cool. Rode this bike a bit. Real, real fun bike. Love those t bars. Will post some more updates this week. Putting a front brake on it for safety and doing some internal motor work gasketing and a clutch and pinstriping the tank.

It was bent. Went in the scrap pile.

I am still trying to learn around here; why is this bike called a "Frisco"? I had a totally different look in my mind when I read the title. Not trying to be a dick, just trying to learn and absorb.

Do you know what that seat is that was originally on it?

                      What front tire is that?

I like the bars. Narrow them up!

I have the original seat. Was just some west eagle padded seat laying on top of there. Just a generic sprung bobber or chopper seat. And the front tire is some older metzler, def not an me880. As for narrowing the bars I agree they need some out but my buddy is a taller guy and felt they would compromise the comfort if they were too narrow.

I had the same thought. Shouldn't it at least have a "frisco" mounted tank?

Is "Frisco" (as used in the current era) typically referring to a high narrow tank, narrow everything, mid controls? That is how I have come to understand it anyway.
