I'm about as white as it gets but I actually went to a no shit Catholic Mission school on an Indian reservation and was a minority there, that generalization is pretty fucking far off base. All across America the natives are ass raping EVERYONE and getting away with it. As a matter of fact they're so good at it it's causing Las Vegas to worry. The big casinos have actually tried to partner with the more successful indian casinos (unsuccessfullly for the most part) or get a part of the action on ones tribes are starting to open up.
The Pechanga tribe's casino (in Temecula Ca) isn't the top earning casino in the US (its an indian one back east somewhere) but it is the highest earning one west of the Mississippi.

I don't give a shit who you want for president, but I don't think the native Americans are living in the lap of luxury. They've been fucked over ever since the white man arrived. There's good and bad in every race, and I'm sure there's a small percentage of tribal leaders making out well, but most the native americans are in poverty. The only Indians americans careabout have two wheels,

This is VERY true, 5 days a week from 4th - 8th grade I would get bussed from Temecula to the Pechanga reservation to pick up more kids and then make a few stops along the way before we got to school in Pala. I grew up having friends that lived on the rez and have seen this first hand. One of my best friend's grandparents lived in shitty 25-30 year old single wide trailers and what little they had they used to help cover not only their basic needs but to help with the needs of their grand kids. His dad was an honest hard working man, built his stone house with his own 2 hands, it was heated by an old pot belly wood stove and he only had electricity when the old surplus generator would run. He didn't drink, but occasionally would smoke, he was a Viet Nam vet that had his own demons to deal with (former FMF Corpsman with bad PTSD issues) but never sat around drinking his government check away. He always had time for us and made sure that his son had the best he could provide for him. He was one of the only kids I knew growing up that wasn't from a wealthy family that had a home computer that had not only a printer but word processing software for school work, even if it had to be run off an old generator.
it's actually not nonsense, i was simply stating the fact that Romney actually protested for the draft in opposition of the sit in protesters who were protesting the Vietnam war. While Mitt sought 4 deferments saving himself from actually fighting in the war...just pointing out the hypocrisy that's all.
whether we should have been involved in Vietnam is a whole different topic, but i'll check out that book for sure...
i'm not strictly partisan either, i have some conservative values as well as liberal. i would vote for a republican if one of them actually made any sense and wasn't just trying to screw the middle class...
the fact is we are all screwed either way, i just think Romney will crush us even faster. nothing will ever change intil we get the money out of politics. we need to get rid of the lobbyist, special interests and we need campaign finance reform...
Jefferson while in office paid for his own staff, secretary, as well as travel, entertainment, and other expenses leaving office in DEBT...now that's public service, not these career politicians leaving office multimillionaires the going to work for lobby's and making even more money...total bullshit
