    Default TIP - Jap Bike part diagrams and cross referencing

    Fellow japchoppers;

    I thought I'd share this site with you, I never buy any bits from it but it's a bloody useful resource when you're trying to find out about cross-compatibility of parts from one model to the next, as well as just identifying what you might be missing off your bike.

    www.cmsnl.com

    For example, I've found some RD400 bits for sale, I want to check if I can use the front brake parts on my XS650 front end etc. So I just open the relevant diagrams for both bikes, find the part in the exploded diagrams and see if the part numbers match. In this case, yes they do!

    After using it for months I realised it might be a useful tip for others as well.

    Good tip. I'll add a little info too.

    The link provided did not give OEM part numbers - you can get OEM numbers on some other sites

    Kawasaki

    Honda

    Suzuki (this one actually includes those listed above as well)

    Just thought I'd mention that I've never bought anything from this crowd, but there's a couple of items that I considered buying, some stuff is still cheap even after exchange rates.

    Helpful sites - thank for the post. Now, does anyone know where to get the parts for a Yamaha XS400? Looking for carb parts.
