Well, it seems as if my point gap had closed. I reset the gap to .018 and it seemed to do the trick. I bought some starter fluid (brake clean apparently is WAY toxic if you inhale it) and checked my intake. Idle didn't change a bit when I sprayed around the intake manifold. I took it for a spin (about 10 miles or so) and it seemed to run great.

Well awesome !! Now I think you should donate your pipes to me. They really make your bike look shitty.

I gotta ask.........what's with the rainbow X on the building ? Is it like a gay confederate flag or what ?

I think I'll hold onto the pipes for a little while, thanks though! This building is near my house and I've never known what it was. Super nice building made to look like a barn, awesome landscaping. Everything dialed in. I finally stopped in last night while test riding my bike. After a quick google I found out it's a corporate office for a high-end construction firm.

The hits keep coming...Super E Carb

Ok guys, I'm back! I thought I had it licked...wrong. Bike is really hard to start when cold now. This bike was always a first/second kick bike. I rode yesterday and made it 3 miles before it died. Fouled plugs. I went down 1 size on the intermediate jet and it runs better. Still hard to start when stone cold but runs better. I can't seem to get the carb dialed in like before. I've set the idle correctly, but still get a few pops through the exhaust pipe, not the carb. Can anyone tell me what to try to correct this? Idle mixture screw? Accelerator pump? Sorry for the novel....please help!

Hard to start..Take a look at your accelerator pump. Might be pumping to little gas for the easy start. Keep jetting down till you're running good and plugs stay clean. Seems like you got a bunch of shit goin on..

Yeah, it's close. I rode a good bit this weekend and it's getting better. I ask a lot out of a 39 year old motorcycle. I want it to run the best it can!
