    G&L Choppers

I'm looking for info on G&L Choppers.

    If you haven't heard already…
Richard Ford of "G&L Choppers" operates out of Colorado Springs.

He's had my bike and my $4,000 for well over (2) years now and refuses to answer any calls or emails.

I've been pretty patient so far but I need to know what's going on.

If anybody's in the area and can just ride by the shop, or if anyone has any info at all on G&L, I'd definitely appreciate it.

Really, I'd just like to know if the shop is even still around!?

Please shoot me a message on here or email me.

    Thanks.
    Don M.

I tried contacting them multiple times about getting a hardtail. Of about 8 emails I sent I
Got one returned saying they couldn't hardtail a kz.

A friend of mine also contacted them multiple times about purchasing one of their rollers and got no response.

I was referenced to them by a Craigslist add I posted looking for a metric shop. I
Asked the person if they were still open after my attempts to contact them and he told me they were, and that they were just extremely busy.

Thanks everybody, I really do appreciate it.

I've tried to be patient but I'd probably be a lot more understanding if he'd just answer the phone and let me know what's going on.

I've read a bunch of posts on different forums concerning G&L and I'm wondering just how many guys are out there waiting on parts or complete builds.

I understand that building a bike takes time but after two + years with almost no communication… I'm really starting to regret ever shipping my bike out there.

Please keep me posted if you guys hear anything.

            Thanks again.

                Haha, HWC!

I'm definitely considering flying out there, I just don't want to confront an abandoned shop.

Please let me know if anybody hears anything at all.

                Thanks again.

Ive gotta go out that way in a month or so. I can swing by the shop and see if the damn place is still open.

Just pulled up the address on street view and it has a big sign for lease. Looks like its not even being used. I can almost guarantee that the photo has been updated with the 2 years. The number to lease is 719-471-9049. Maybe you can contact the leasing company and get some info??

Not sure if either of these are the right guy but its worth a try.

Maybe this page can help? http://www.650motorcycles.com/RichGL.html

Sounds like you might be screwed and have to go the legal avenune. BBB tried to contact them in May and couldnt.

                    Thanks man!
That was definitely a huge help.

I checked out that street view too but never thought of calling the leasing company… might be worth a try. Good idea. I think I'll try all of those numbers tomorrow as well!

Please keep me posted man if you do end up heading out that way, I'd really appreciate it.
                    My patience is running out...

                    Seriously, thanks again.

I'll be in that area next week. If you find any info and still need someone to roll by and check out the shop just let me know on here or through a PM.

I have a buddy that goes to lots of bike events. I can see if he can ask around and find a way to get ahold of this guy.

I posted this at Chopper Underground.

Well I've got bad news. G&L isn't at that address anymore. Suite J is now Rocky Mountain Rehabilitation which looked to me like a medical marijuana shop. Next door is an Aikido dojo.

If I were you and you can document the money you sent him, call the Colorado Springs Police and ask to talk to a detective and report what has happened. It opens a fraud case against him and they will investigate it. I had to do this once. IT took about 9 months but I got a check in the mail for what was "stolen". Even better if you sent the payment or parts to be modded in the mail, cause now its mail fraud.

                          Good luck.

                            This is un-f*cking-believable.

                            Thanks mad750, luniz7 & definitely Junkman!
I seriously appreciate your efforts & any more info you guys can find out would be great.
I can't believe it's been well over 2 years now and he still refuses to return my calls.
I think I've finally reached a boiling point.

I would definitely file a complaint here, http://www.ic3.gov/default.aspx along with anyone else who has had an issue with G&L Choppers. That site needs to be removed from the internet along with any site affiliated with Richard Ford.
