I run a foot clutch and i woudnt ride my bike any other way. It takes some getting used the first couple miles but you get the hang of it quick. The hardest part is coming to a stop, balancing the bike and keeping the clutch in.

^^^ Why not just shift into neutral and brake into the light? Then you don't have to balance the clutch.

Easy to do on an old 4-speed, where the shift gates are miles apart (hell, sometimes you can find neutral between any gear), but not as easy on a more modern tranny. On my tank-shift Evo chopper it was tricky to get it into neutral in time for the light, so I usually had to put my foot on the brake. On my Panhead jockey-shift bike I never have a hard time getting it into neutral (which is good, since I have no front brake, and on hills I need to use my right foot for the brake, so I can't afford to have my left on the clutch.

I run a jockey shift with hand clutch on my sportster. I can't run a foot clutch, mostly because I have no front brake. I kinda need one foot on the ground sometimes.... best picture I have right now. I'm tall on a small bike so it's super natural.

I put the Tank shift on mine. I had to make a small extension on the tank shifter to get the right geometry.
