Can floorboards look good?

I have been trying to come up with a way to do mid controls on my 05 Softail without using a BDL. I've thought of a dyna primary cover and all types of other stuff. My buddy told me, you cant do it on a softie without the BDL. So until I get a BDL, I was thinking of floorboards. However, floorboards evoke old dudes (no offense) on big ass bagger type bikes. Add in that I'm on a softail and its "WELCOME TO H.O.G.". I've thought of Baxter Pegs but that wouldn't give me the "jockey on a horse position" I'm looking for. So, can floorboards look cool?

They look good if YOU think they look good. Screw what anyone else thinks (including me). That being said, the old half-moon 'boards look the best, in my opinion (which still doesn't matter). They're smaller... "retro"... etc.

when done properly floorboards look great on flatheads, pans and knucks
the half moon shaped ones usually look the best
and they are way more comfy than pegs
anything newer they dont really go most of the time but ive seen some chopped evo bikes with them that have looked good
its your bike build what you want

I have them on my softail and love them over pegs. Can move my feet around and ajust my riding position easily.

I'm in the process of putting them on my shovel now. I think it depends on the bike, but on some bikes they are the shit.

My bike is cut up (by no means a chopper. I learned my lesson there) with a sporty tank, fender, kerker 2 into 1 and mx bars. I just don't think it'll look right. If I had the stock tank on it I think I could pull it off. And yes, looking at these pics on this thread, floorboards can look good!

Thanks fellas
Chris
