Default Tons O Throttle: Bog Out

    Hey guys!

Ive got a 95 883, whichs runs great normally. but today on my morning run, I really nailed the throttle on the expressway, and she bogged pretty hard.

Im curious would that be lack of fuel, or too much.

    Thanks!

Could be crap in the main jet. Could be a timing issue.

sounds like some gunk in the carb
drain gas tank dump some sea foam cleaner in the tank
fill with fresh gas if that works and it should your good to go
if not you might not to pull the carb and give it a good cleaning

this is all assuming the bike ran fine before

I've had a couple of bikes in here in the last couple of weeks with similar issues. In both cases, all they needed was to drop the bowl, clean the crud out, and a healthy spray of carb cleaner.

Edit: You wouldn't believe the shit in the bowls from today's gas. Damn near gravel.

Just dealt with this on my buddy's bike last week.
IT IS HOT AS FRIK in IL this week.
My buddy fried his coil cuz of the heat.
He said it was fine around cruisin speed and then when he went to romp on it over 4grand it would sputter and bog and choke.

Obviously pull your float bowl and check your jets etc cuz it's easy to rule out first.

Also......Always run an inline filter. It'll save you a lot of headaches.

I hate seeing these threads, in the time it took you to fire up the internet machine and type this out you could have had the carb off and cleaned out. Just clean the fucker and clear up the mystery, if it doesn't help we'll go from there.
