Interested in the helmet, but not sure that I understand. Are you affiliated with Eternal Combustion, planning to rip off their design, or just doing something similar? Haha.
I have an enormous melon though so it would have to come in XXL.

no im not affiliated with them at all they have been sold out of these for a while since they re not made anymore
the helmet is made by a company called TT&CO they make a lot of different styles
including the
"daytona" helmet they sell to old gold garage
i just figured if eternal combustion is not selling them anymore than i would see if i could buy some direct in bulk and sell them
the yellow one is almost a direct copy of the old bell moto 3
again im not trying to steal anyones buiness etc. just wanted to see if anyone would be interested as i would have to order 100 of them for the company to start making them again since they are not in production right now

For me, $170 is a lotta cash for a novelty helmet. I'm guessing that's why EC stopped selling em, but I don't know. I only wear a full face when its cold, which is rare in So Cal, but it happens. I bought a Simpson Bandit for less than $170 and its DOT. Just my $.02 and its worth less than that.

where?
and I would be down, if they were DOT, don't really see the point in wearing something that looks like it will protect you but wont.

If somebody could put out a DOT helmet with the Troop styling or even a less expensive Bandit knockoff, I would snap one up. It's gotta be a little cheaper to make a visor-less full face than one with a flip up visor. I just can't justify dropping $350 to $400 for a Simpson Outlaw Bandit when I'm just gonna run it w/o the face shield anyway. My current helmet is a DOT 3/4 with one of the Eternal Combustion (TT&CO) snap-on Troop face masks. Closest I could come to a DOT Troop helmet.

No 2stroke he is going to buy them from the distributor (eternal combustion) and sell them as they don't sell them anymore. I would LOVE one but seeing as how I would get pulled over in a heartbeat (as you well know) I prob wouldn't go for one. second thought I like the moto3 looking one I just might.

Just want to make sure I'm on the same page.
And, FWIW, no, I would not help you bootleg anything.
i dont see how its bootlegging ?
tt&co makes the helmets not eternal combustion
eternal combustion did not come up with the design of them and does not own any rights to them tt&co makes the helmets and the design
its no different than being a biltwell dealer and selling biltwell products
i was just seeing if anyone was interested as i know a lot of people wanted to buy these helmets and eternal combustion is no longer carrying them
so again i dont see how you see this as bootlegging ?
im going to become a us distributor for tt&co helmets soon and i was trying to see if it was worth it to have 100 of these helmets made up since they currently dont produce them anymore i have to oder 100 at a time to have this style made again
again eternal combustion does not make or own the style of helmets or the helmets
and i support eternal combustion ive bought stuff from them before theyre a great company

Guess I'll chime in here. Eternal Combustion (me) didn't make the original helmet that TT calls the Thompson 01. We imported it and started calling them the Troop 1. Then we worked with TT to come out with the additional two styles - the Troop 2 and the MOTO. After doing all the legwork to refine the sizes and create the US market, TT decided it was in their best interest to just treat us like a simple distributor, and up the prices, while moving production to china.
The quality got worse, the price got higher, and the sizing is all over the place, so we decided not to carry their products any longer. It's really that simple.
I really appreciate everyone's standing up for us. If someone wants to continue to import the lids, then that's their deal. I'll probably always be a little sour about how the market is mainly here because of EC's efforts, but thats just how biz works. It's 100% my decision to can the line, and folks still want that style helmet.
Having seen the Biltwell DOT in person, I'll tell ya that in all honesty, I'd wait for their product. It is simply the best lid I've seen in a long time, and knowing those guys, I'm sure the quality-for-dollar value will beat out everything else out there.
I'm around and available to discuss any of the finer points of importing TT products, if anyone is out there planning on dropping hard-earned dough on doing business with them.

thanks for the reply and the message
TT did advise that you were not going to be carrying the product anymore and that they owned the design
but after hearing the quality has gone bad then im not interested in selling them either
i messaged you back with my contact info so please keep in touch
thanks for clearing this up with everyone
it will never be my intention to steal someones ideas or products
