    FXR Seat finished

I needed a custom seat for my FXR because an off the shelf wasn't gonna get the job done with my fender setup and I was finished riding on the trimmed down piece of foam I had been riding on. Some local guys put me on to a guy they swear by in Phoenix named Rex Simon, dude is legit - dropped my bike off at 7:00 Tuesday night and at 4:30 Wednesday he calls me to come pick it up. Fiberglass seat pan with steel tabs and a nice carpet backing. I'm stoked on it - a one off seat for $220 with less than a day turn-around.

Looks terrible....I think you ought to sell that bike to me...and I will not tell anyone about the seat.

53 - good looking out on the fender, shit is perfect.

Haven't got to put miles on it yet, although I did sit on it for 2 beers and some day dreaming miles last night and it felt great.

Jesus Christ! Is that a hinged seat or non? That seat looks great and price is great too!

not hinged - made a strap across where the old tank mounts were and he built a tab into the pan (kinda like a newer dyna has) and the back has a piece of that heavy duty interlock velcro lookin' stuff that I'll put on once the paint is done.

Man that looks killer. I would have never thought of the velcro to hold the back down. I may actually get off my ass and build a seat now.
