Turn Signals w/ Single Side Brake/Tail Light?

So what is everyone who's running a single side mounted brake/tail light do for turn signals? I have a set of the newer style bullet signals waiting to go on, but I also have a "new" vintage tail light I'm going to put to one side and I just can't seem to picture the new turn signals with the old tail light. Do you just use arm/hand signals and forego the turn signals, or suck it up and run the extra lights? (and no, I'm not going to be running the typical Ford style light...sure, they look nice, but they're just getting a little too over done.

Thanks,
Nick

If you gotta run signals go to panic choppers ebay store. They have some on the cheap in chrome or black. I had stock signals on but took them off after a month or 2. I use my hands but only when there is a car near me or a cop is around.
If your feeling like making your own, you can get 12v and LED "xmas" type lights from Radio Shack that are bright as hell. You can mount those anywhere you'd like. Unfortunately these aren't DOT but if you get pulled over and a cop is checking your turns out to see if they are DOT then you've got bigger problems. You'll get the same ticket as if you didn't have any at all.

I'll have to check the badlander out...I'm thinking about just putting red bulbs in the lights too (I have the smoked lenses). Interestingly enough though, if I'm reading the below excerpt correctly it looks like turn signal lights are not technically required on motorcycles (at least ones the size of mine) here in SC...is this how you read this as well (mainly paragraph b)?

SECTION 56-5-2180. Signals shall be given by hand and arm or signal lamps.

(a) Any stop or turn signal when required herein shall be given either by means of the hand and arm or by signal lamps except as otherwise provided in subsection (b).

(b) Any motor vehicle in use on a highway shall be equipped with, and required signal shall be given by, signal lamps when the distance from the center of the top of the steering post to the left outside limit of the body, cab or load of such motor vehicle exceeds twenty-four inches or when the distance from the center of the top of the steering post to the rear limit of the body or load thereof exceeds fourteen feet. The latter measurement shall apply to any single vehicle or to any combination of vehicles.

Here's the set up on my '92 XL. I forget where I got the lights, but they're 6v Guitar Amplifier lights. I've had them in a few months and they work fine. I had cut the fender strife off and stuck them in the opening. I'm planning on having some "plugs" machined to accept the lights and clean it up some, but aim having too much fun riding to work on it at the moment! Hahaha

Fuck signals

If you can lose them do it. Removes 4 wires and the lights themselves, that is what god gave us hands for.
