My fender is really short, I drilled through the upper and lower cross braces of the frame and attachrd a bracket inside the fender, threaded to accept a bolt through the cross brace. Only 2 bolts attached to the frame, I'll try to post some pics tomorrow

Thats brilliant, it is the idea I was going for, just wondered the best way to strengthen the fender so it wont vibrate too much! Please let me know if you get the pics up!

Cheers

My tins are at the painter, so I cant show a pic, but I found the brackets I used. I mounted them inside the fender, I bent the brackets in a vice to follow the inner countour of the fender. Then I drilled a large enough hole for the threaded boss to protrude through the fender. Ifinished it by using 2 short flathead screws inside with brass acorn nuts outside the fender.

I picked up the brackets at a local plumbing store for 3 bucks each.

naw, I was just having fun,

Vibrations will eventually crack everything, doing minimum brackets will make it happen faster.

Torch thanks for the banter! Everything of mine seems to break even when I think I have made it bomproof, maybe time for a diet!?
