Okay, I think the cool kids are gonna dive bomb I-5 on the way down, and take the coast on the way back home. It looks like our friendly Canadian friends are taking the coast all the back up to my back porch too (gotta love those beer gods from up north). So I think i'll be saddling up and doing the same, unless I'm kidnapped by a voracious gang of hot biker whores. I know you guys are tough bastards who want to 'hobo camp' in roadside ditches, but I'll be hitting the closest sleazebag roach hotel saving my shoulders and back from ungodly pain. Go ahead and call me a snob, Ha!

Leaving Santa Cruz Friday morning and taking 101 down with a couple of flakes. Welcome to roll as long as you're junks tight. I don't want to deal with un-planed stops. Panhead is happy at 65, so just cruzing.

With that said, my bike's going to explode.

Well that fucking sucked!

Me and my bro left Saturday in the shit rain from Victoria BC heading south with hopes of hitting the Salt Flats then over to Born Free... Well we got as far as Bellingham when his xs just died on the side of the highway... Oh yeah did i mention his gas cap flew off along the way not to mention a seam in his tank sprouting a pin hole leak!!

So we essentially puttered back home in the pissing rain (100 miles) plus ferry ride, working on zero sleep, got everything repaired today, now just waiting for the JB Weld to set on the hole in the tank then running fuel through her tomorrow and with any luck will be trying again leaving at 7am Tuesday..

We are gonna fly down the I5 Tuesday hoping to get as far as Grants Pass, then Wednesday getting some bro's place in Berkley, and make it to LA Thursday....

We got a spot at Oneill campground Friday and Saturday, so anyone rolling along that way feel free to drop a line and add to the convoy.

Cheers

Yikes! I guess it's better your buddy's bike took a crap in Bellingham than in the middle of the Mojave Desert. It looks like two groups are likely to be leaving Grants Pass on Wednesday (395 wilderness route versus 101 coastal route). Hopefully we can share 'intel' over a cold beer at BF. I hope to meet all of you guys on the road. I'll most likely take 395 down and 101 up.

Anyone on this forum: Text me anytime on the road as I'll try to check my messages at each gas stop. Never hurts to stay in touch in case you run into the unexpected, or your bike does the 'expected', Ha! I have T Mobile, so no promises (sometimes I might as well be on Mars, Ugh!)

Leaving Portland in a minute and I'll be Reno bound for Day 1. I'll be there early evening and would love to hang out at a Reno dive and have a drink with someone on the road, or one of the local Reno Chop Culters. My number is a few posts up. Would love to share an ice cold one! Cheers!

And couch, what's your plan/route for Friday?
