Since it's in the Junk Pile, I don't see the problem with it.
I guess the problems arise when name calling happens. (Which has not been happening)

I don't go in the Jap or Harley sections and run my mouth about Triumphs(I do it on the main forum). If dudes talk religion and want the opinion of like minded dudes, what's the big deal?
The horrible thing for me is that we can talk about practically whatever we want. But once we hit the one topic that offends you, we have to stop?

Fuck dude!! You beat me to it. I started an atheist biker thread in the junk pile where it's supposed to be. Dont comm t on a conversation you dont want to be apart of. Anyway, with the amount of posts in that thread within two days, it appears to me that some people wanted to discuss it.

I enjoy hating as much as the next guy, but talking about people who believe in religion like they are ignorant, senseless, ill informed monkeys is rather disheartening. Would the same mentality be ok for people to use that to judge people based on skin color? or how much money they have? Hate on someone for a good reason, like knocking down your tent in the rain.
I understanding having scientific,factual based views. But I would also not try and contest your views based on "faith" type relevance. Of course to the Atheist there is no such thing,so the argument is moot but, whateva...

I dont know if this was directed to me or not. If so, where in any of my comments did I convey hatred or call anybody names? I know others may have and Im not a fan of it but it is an open forum so there will be some of that I guess. Besides, I really dont care if a religious persons religious feelings get hurt. Atheists are the largest minority in this country and get thrashed by the religious. People hear the word atheist and immediately think devil worshiper or whatever and act accordingly. just go look at some polls to see what people think about atheists. It is now considered easier to come out as gay than an atheist.
Whenever anybody says "Im a christin and dont care what anybody thinks" cracks me up. As if saying out loud that youre a christian in this country is a hard thing to do. Thats like saying Im a yankees fan and dont care what anybody thinks, while at yankee stadium.
Atheists are getting more and more vocal in this country now. People need to get used to it. Saying " I dont care that youre an atheist" sounds nice. Until we open our mouths then its a problem.
Anyway, Im not trying to be combative here. Just a friendly debate. I understand where youre coming from. But its a forum where its safe and easy to talk about these things. Out in the real world you and I would ride and have a few beers. I wouldnt even collapse your tent.
