did you guys glue the kit in your old lids or just let it sit in there with no attaching of any sorts?

Just popped mine in and let it ride.

The ear pieces were a different story. The old helmet I had didn't have the snaps - found an old MX helmet laying around, cut out some of the buttons in that and hot glued them in place.
