Please help! Carb overflow leak

I have a 2000 sporty with a cv carb. The carb started leaking from the overflow tube. Weird thing is it only leaks when the bike is hot & after I shut it off. Not while running. The gas tank is venting properly no pressure when I remove the cap. I replaced the needle valve & the inside of the carb is spotless. I have tried adjusting the float level several times within the manuals specs. And the float does not leak or take on fuel. Last, i checked the fuel petcock. It only releases fuel when the motor is running.I'm ready to throw this thing at the wall! Please help.

check your accelerator pump on the bottom ( the three brass screws on the bottom)
same thing happened to me. was leaking out of the over flow. take that apart (carefully) and clean it out. there is a tiny hole that gets clogged up and will make it leak.
you should replace all gaskets and and the rubber diaphram..

It's either the drain screw isn't tight enough and when the seat heats up it leaks, or.......
The diaphragm in the accelerator pump has a hole and fuel is leaking up through the plunger rod tube . But the second wouldn't cause a leak through the drain hose. Down the drain hose maybe.

These are just guesses.

Good luck with it.
