the motor he has is a 73/74 T140 right side shift 750, the second letter of his serial numbers is like an"H' or "J".
so all 3 covers will interchange with a 67 and up 650.

Thanks Torch.
That gives me quite a few more options for parts.
My buddy has a lot of T-120 stuff. I'll have to pay him a visit this weekend.
Beer for parts Scotty?

So .. in my never ending search for Brit bike parts to piece the basket case back together ,I run across this guy selling "Old Triumph parts" ' Take the whole pile.. 100 bucks'.

couple small dings, scratches... chrome looked like it would clean up ok..

He bought a house and these parts were in the attic for who knows how long

Looks like all of it came off of the same bike
Coils were 12V so cant be that old... unless converted??
..Any idea what year this stuff might be?

Legit case #s or no?
E-bay cases.. look great.. cheap.. but the #'s look like originals have been ground off and re-stamped??

Yea... the Triumph emblem looking stuff in the background.
Those cases have been up for sale on E-bay a few times but have not sold ,even though they appear to be in excellent condition, and are pretty inexpensive. My buddy offered up a T-120 lower with cracked cases, and when I was scouting for parts, I ran across those AGAIN. Can't tell if it's faking the funk or not. Anyways...thanks for the response Starwolf

Have not purchased these.
They have been on E-bay a few times at a decent price but have not been bought.
Not sure if the seller has papers for them or not. I was going to piece together a T-120 that a buddy was going to throw my way that had bad cases and saw these .... looks a bit sketchy to me...

looked over photo of #s again,, looks legit ,,because look at area around #s,the beaded look of cases appears to continue all way across.also see the line of casteing ,,appears intact, also if restamped, the area would have depression when material would have been removed in attempt,,of restamping or slight rewelding over old #s,,,,,,,get papers with these , another alarm would be a highly polished look of # stamp area ,,,,be safe then sorry

those numbers are perfectly good 1968 stampings, the raised number pads didn't start until late 68 and the little Triumph stamps started in mid year 1969 along with the letter month and year designation,
This was true for the T100's, TR6, and T120's.
those are good numbered cases
