Things are looking up. The wife got a new job (more$$) so it won't be long until we're caught up. I can't wait to get this rolling again. With a little luck, it will be on the street in a couple months and I can get started on the next one.

      Ummm....

In the midst of making the wiring harness (boring) I figured I pause and make a clutch cable or two......

      The Honda-Davidson clutch cable.

      1. Buy brandy-new clutch cable.

Finished dolling up the carb. There's a rudimentary filter behind the Bison Bird Blocker.

Sorry no other updates. She's in the garage now getting reassembled and touched up. Making a secondary harness for the "must haves for inspection". Boring stuff really.

Thanks Aggrojo, Trash. Here's a little more:

                Front master cylinder part trois.
Back to the old stand-by. TRX450r mc. Made a new lever out of an old one.

Sorry, not much else to report. Finished building it back into a motorcycle, just patched and seal the gas tank getting ready for paint. As soon as the oil tank gets back I'll put it all together for picks, then off to paint!

Unfortunately, I couldn't get fuzzy about the paint job and after a week or so of agonizing, it had to go. Right now the tank is a lovely, rustoleum engine enamel gloss black. I was getting ready to sand and polish the tank, slap her back together and get her inspected and I fucked up my back. Won't be doing much to her until the back gets better. I have a growing list of things to do post inspection tho.

Time to get off my lazy butt and update. Finally got around to sanding/polishing the rusto'd tank. I'm stunned at how nice this stuff looks with a little bit of patience and elbow grease.

                              Sand with 1500 then 2000:

First polish. The line of dots is reflection of led lights my son strung across the ceiling.

Second polish. Remember the "patience" comment? After the first polish, there was a large spot of orange peel on the front of the tank that I missed first go-round. Got a bit impatient and sanded through the paint. Had to repaint about 1/3 of the tank, re-sand and re-polish.

Just re-read the whole thread after seeing your picture in the turn signal thread. Such a neat, well thought out build and all with whatever parts you could scrounge up and make work. Inspired me to see what 'rubbish' I can find to get moving on my project that has stalled due to limited (read no) funds. Thanks for taking the time to document it.
