another GS1100 scoot

Hey all, i'm Adam from KC. This is the progress on my first bike...a $950 1982 GS1100...I haven't quite figured out the forum controls, so pictures will be out of order. lol BTW, this is my first experiance welding too, so be nice plz!

I am really trying to be nice, I too used to make side panels, around the time when i first started welding also, today, I refuse to make a side panel, I will only use a stock side panel, and not even modify that, at all!! you soon shall see grasshopper!!!

here's a current picture (I'll take more later) Btw, I officially hate the tread-plate side/top covers. the search is on to find OEM covers and re-build the seat mount.

thanks man, it's been fun! The seat is an old (1970's) springer (minus springs) from a bike my dad had way back when. the diamond plate i made into side covers and a seat tray.

nice. that things gonna look sweet. i made my seat outta diamond plate. i usually get asked how the fuck i can stand to ride on it, but it really aint that bad lol.

i used a handicap sing for my gs ha, rode it to GA and back from NC too ha stout little bikes
