    Lowering my 1995 883

    Hey guys!

This might sound impatient, but, Im desperately trying to lower my bike for a ride this weekend. I ordered the burly lowering kit (Shocks and Springs for the front) monday, the supplier just called and said "whoops we didnt ship it" so now im scrambling to find a solution.

I live in chicago, and the only thing around me that has anything is the Biltwell Struts. Ive read reviews stating they are a killer, and while I rode a Hardtail for a while, Im going on a 300 MI trip and cant even imagine struts like that.

Any solutions? anyone selling anything? Ideas?

    Thanks!

I know it sucks, but if it were me I'd just wait it out.

struts are like 10x worse then a hardtail bike... FYI... cant you make some of those like ghetto shock relocators.. and hack your front springs?

If you have or can make the perch tool to remove the springs than you could cut the springs down. The shock is exactly 9 1/2 inches when completely collapsed without springs. Use that as a guide before you bump.

Solution? Be patient. It sucks, but you'll still be cool on the ride you're going on.
